DOV’É LA PRESA, MARIALUISA?
designed by ENRIQUE LUIS SARDI

Universal wall multi-socket
It is simply an answer to the standardised objects with which we are accustomed to living with and that by now “we do not see” anymore. The electric socket can become an integral part of the furnishings of a house. Produced with present-day materials, in metallic sheet and/or integrally in white ceramic or coloured according to the line, it has been devised in various lines in order to meet the requirements of international variety of electric sockets.

SAMOVAR

SAMOVAR
designed by MARCO CIAMPA, ANGELO COSTA, TATJANA TREBESCH and ELISABETTA VITALETTI

Domestic Appliance for preparation and consumption of tea.
FPerhaps in the last few years we have lost or renounced our more traditionally Italian habits and to offset this loss we have instinctively altered discovering and accepting those coming from foreign cultures. It is from this fusion that this samovar was born by innovative design, contemporary interpretation of the most traditional tools. Thus, conceived maintaining the significance of the preparation and consumption of tea but showing the ceremonial through a new gesture more appropriate to places of contemporary society.

EMBROIDERY CHAIR

EMBROIDERY CHAIR
designed by GAM PLUS FRATESI

Chair in embroidered fibreglass.
The project results from an intense study that meets tradition and advanced technology. An idea emerges from contrasting reflections; the charm of joining materials composed of high results, such as fibreglass with the subtle aesthetic of laces. With inspiration from the manufacturing methods used by the textile industry, different technical and numerous applications were experimented on the fibreglass. Therefore, the project can be interpreted as dialogue between specialised industrial sectors and different historical references.

SPOLETTA

SPOLETTA
designed by DODO ARSLAN

Bookcase/container/stepladder made of wood and metal.
Often the designer, in research and analysis phase, consults quite a lot of books and catalogues and subdivides them into very heavy piles, which render consultation difficult and often they remain on the desk up to the end of the project. Little shuttles function as stairs to reach the highest shelves, by sitting for a rapid consultation, by containers for the transport and by “bedside table” for the desk, the bed and the sofa becoming a kind of satellite of the bookcase.

GERVASO

GERVASO
designed by 99IC

Vase/calendar.
A natural diary to place daily appointments, metropolitan to the inaccurate world of nature. Twelve different essences for twelve months of the year to survey the climatic anomalies of grandparents and television news. The wrapping is completed by vase, earth and botanical essences (not necessarily floral) temporally calibrated. The vase is divided into compartments to allow the differentiated cure of the essences.

STRIPE A

STRIPE A
designed by FILIPPO BICH

Small table in aluminium.
Stripe A was born by a very simple philosophy: "Lightness" intended by both a physical and conceptual point of view. The reduced weight, guaranteed by the aluminium work, lends itself to "conceptual" lightness of the object, given by the space that divides the support floor and the two struts. It was made without the use either of moulds or of other suitably manufactured tools. This allows, crossing the use of highly standardised welding and bending techniques, a reduction of costs that reflect noticeably on the final prices to the public.

ICO LAMP

ICO LAMP
designed by GIANMARIA SFORZA FOGLIANI

Lamp
One lamp like a puzzle. A black body that progressively crumbles itself as perforated shapes rise up, freeing the light inside and decorating the surface. The sinking pieces inside can then be easily gathered to the centre and arranged to please. The design is at the discretion of the customer and irreversible.

TOAST-IT

TOAST-IT
designed by KONSTANZE JACOB @ LIBERA UNIVERSITÁ DI BOLZANO

Toaster in glass.
Timers are trying to convince to us that they can establish the ideal state of cooking through the measurement of time, infinite numbers of burnt toast demonstrates the contrary to us. For this, we want to see what happens to ours toast! The magic of the red-hot spirals reminds us of the heat of our abandoned bed as soon as abandoned whilst we are seated at the kitchen table. The glass body of a glass Pyrex of double layer and heat resistant guarantees an optimal isolation from the outside. The base, of stainless steel or white ceramic, protects the work surface beneath and guarantees the stability of the object.
